- 2 ozapplejack or calvados60 ml
- ¾ ozfresh lime juice22 ml
- ½ ozgrenadine15 ml
Instructions
Combine applejack, lime juice, and grenadine in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a thin apple slice.
Sips & Tips
Technique
Use real grenadine (pomegranate-based) — the artificial stuff ruins this drink. Laird's Applejack or a VSOP Calvados both work beautifully.
Balance
The grenadine provides sweetness and the signature rose color. Lime juice (not lemon) is traditional and works better with apple brandy's flavor profile.
