Without the bourbon backbone of the modern Amaretto Sour, this version is sweeter and more approachable. Shake hard to dilute properly — amaretto is thick.
Balance
This is the simple, classic version. Fresh lemon juice is non-negotiable — it's the only thing preventing this from being too sweet. You may not need the syrup at all.
