Bénédictine

A French herbal liqueur with a history stretching back to 1510 — originally made by Benedictine monks in Normandy. Its recipe of 27 herbs and spices produces a complex, honeyed sweetness with saffron, myrrh, and warm spice. D.O.M. on the label stands for Deo Optimo Maximo. Essential for the Bobby Burns, the Vieux Carré, and the Singapore Sling.

Styles & Brands

Herbal Liqueur

A proprietary blend of 27 herbs and spices macerated in neutral spirit, distilled, and aged. Sweet, complex, and warming — somewhere between Chartreuse and honey liqueur.

  • Bénédictine D.O.M.

Honey, saffron, warm spice, and a complex herbal backbone. Rich and sweet with a long, warming finish. Use sparingly — a bar spoon transforms a Bobby Burns or a Vieux Carré.

  • B&B (Bénédictine & Brandy)

A pre-mixed blend of Bénédictine and cognac — drier and less sweet than straight Bénédictine. Sip it neat as a digestif or use where you want the herbal character with less sweetness.
