Chartreuse
A herbal liqueur made by monks in the French Alps. Green Chartreuse (55% ABV) is more intense and herbaceous; Yellow Chartreuse (40% ABV) is softer, sweeter, and more honey-forward.
- Green Chartreuse
Intensely herbal, sweet, and complex — mint, anise, citrus, and a hundred other things you can't quite identify. Essential for the Last Word and the Bijou. Use with respect — it's powerful.
- Yellow Chartreuse
Softer and sweeter than Green — honey, saffron, and gentle herbs. Lower proof and more approachable. Lovely in a Tipperary or as a digestif.
