Ingredients
- 2 ozdark rum60 ml
- 2 ozwhite rum60 ml
- 2 ozpassion fruit juice60 ml
- 1 ozorange juice30 ml
- ½ ozfresh lime juice15 ml
- 1 ozgrenadine30 ml
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange slice and cherry.

Use real passion fruit juice or purée — it's the soul of this drink. Shake hard to integrate the multiple juices. This is a strong drink disguised as a fruity one.
Balance
Pat O'Brien's original is sweeter than most modern palates prefer. Cut the grenadine in half and add more lime if you want a more balanced version.
