Sips & Tips
Technique
The red wine float is the signature — pour it very slowly over a bar spoon so it sits on top of the foam. Use a dry, fruity red like Malbec or Shiraz.
Balance
This is a whiskey sour with a wine float that adds color, tannin, and fruity complexity. The wine should complement, not overwhelm — ½ oz is plenty.

New York Sour (No Egg)
Skip the egg white for a simpler version — the wine float still looks dramatic over the clear cocktail.
