Ingredients

  • 2 oztequila blanco
  • ¾ oztriple sec
  • 1 ozfresh lime juice
  • ½ ozagave syrup
  • 2-3jalapeño slices

Instructions

Muddle jalapeño slices in a shaker. Add tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave syrup with ice. Shake well and double-strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice and a Tajín-salt rim. Garnish with a jalapeño slice.

Sips & Tips

Technique

Remove jalapeño seeds for mild heat, keep them for serious spice. Double-strain to remove all pepper bits. Tajín on the rim adds another layer of heat and citrus.

Balance

The agave syrup rounds out the heat. Start with 2 slices and work up — you can always add more heat but you can't take it away.
